 ArtAtHeart believes that art is about more than just technical skill - it's about self-expression, creativity, and exploration. That is why we offer pottery studio/workshop time available for adults. For the true beginner or one with a bit more experience wishing to further their artistic growth and experimentation with clay. All tools, materials, firings, and equipment are provided for your use with paid studio time. It is offered 

Thursday's 5:00-7:00(mid-May-August) 

5:30-7:30(during school year), and Saturday's 10am-2pm. Use your time as quickly or as slowly as you wish. Once all paid 8 hours of studio is used, you can choose to continue with more paid studio hours or discontinue participating--totally up to you and your schedule.  We try to make it as user-friendly as we can. Stop by and check out what we have to offer, at any of the scheduled studio times!  Our sessions have few in number allowing the teacher to help give individualized instruction when needed. 

Our faculty members are accomplished artists and educators who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students. We are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential, and sometimes with a skill such as "throwing on the wheel" a private session is the best way to be introduced to the skill.   Typically, the lesson takes approximately 2 1/2 hours allowing the beginner to make 2-4 average size bowls. A 30–45-minute trimming session is scheduled in the next few days following the lesson.  Once all the created bowls are completely dry, they will be bisque fired. Then the student will return to learn the process of properly glazing pottery.  This typically takes 

2 1/2 hours to complete glazing all the created vessels properly. The pottery will be glazed fired in the next glaze firing available.  All instruction, materials, tools, and firings are included in this lesson fee.  Upon completion--the pottery will be food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe being that it is now a completed glazed stoneware pottery creation. 

(This lesson can be scheduled for 1- 3 individuals 

at a time.) Call to schedule a session to get the wheel spinning!!!  Throwing on the potter's wheel is such a wonderful experience...actually hard to describe.  Well worth trying....

We offer a range of programs to suit the needs and interests of our clientele. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your skills to the next level, we have a program that will inspire and challenge you.

We offer the opportunity for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 individuals to schedule a private individual or group session to use other simpler pottery methods other than "throwing on the wheel". These sessions run 1 1/2 + hours returning at a later date to glaze the creations after they have been bisque fired. Glazing takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Then the items will be glaze fired in the next available glaze firing. All instruction, materials, tools, and firings are included in lesson fee. Upon completion-the pottery will be food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe being that it is now a completed glazed stoneware pottery creation.  Call to schedule a session and let the fun begin!!!!!! ...nothing quite like it!!
