What's Going on?...... Art At Heart

After school art lessons offer weekly practice and development of skills throughout the school year, whether it be painting, drawing, pottery, or one of the many other areas of art we explore.

Our Advanced Art class is offered to Junior High & High School students. The Advanced Art class is offered THREE Monday's a month during the school year from September through May-we do not have classes on school holiday Monday's. This class is 1 hour 15 minutes per week.  It is a self-paced class where students can choose to work with various materials of their interest.  If a student is absent, class time can be added to the next week class time, if so suits.  A student has 3 hours and 45 minutes of studio time a month, however it suits the student to meet that time is totally up to the schedule of each student. Typically, 1 hour 15 minutes weekly.

Our Elementary Art classes are offered to elementary school students, 1st grade through 6th grade. This class is offered throughout the school year from September through May for 1 hour weekly.  The elementary classes are taught by certified art teachers with many years of teaching experience.  Students are exposed to a wide variety of art media with step-by-step instruction along with open ended creativity art exercises to allow students to explore their creative interests, including pottery.  

This class is offered Wednesdays 4:00-500 or Thursdays 4:00-5:00.  If a student is absent for any reason, the student is allowed to make up the missed class by doubling up the next week, if it so suits. All classes are small so teachers can work with students one-on-one for guided help, when needed. 

At times, there is a need for a student to schedule a private lesson to learn a specific skill or craft.  Scheduling is done on a case by case basis that best works for the student and the teacher.
